About me

I'm JENNY PORTER. I grew up the eldest of six in rural Victoria, where belonging was the anchor that tethered me to place and people. It was built every day by showing up for each other.

That understanding of family, commitment, and the courage to seek out purpose has shaped who I am and how I see the world.

My debut novel, The Space Between, follows a young woman caught between who she's been raised to be and who she's finally ready to become. It's a story about identity, love, and the quiet courage it takes to stop pretending.

I acknowledge the First Peoples of this Nation and their ongoing cultural and spiritual connections to the lands, waters, skies, and communities. I pay my respects to Elders past and present.
